What weather elements can I target on?

Currently you can create your weather targeting rules based on one or more of the following weather conditions. All plans give access to the full range of triggers off the shelf.

  • Temperature

  • Rain

  • Sunshine

  • Cloud cover

  • Wind speed

  • Snow

  • Ice

  • Blizzard

  • Freezing rain

  • Humidity

  • Air pressure

  • UV Index

  • Thunder/ Lightning

  • Storm

  • Hail

  • fog

  • Hurricane

  • Tornado

What are the standard weather elements?

The standard weather elements are common, every day weather conditions. All standard weather elements have 3 temporal states: past (up to 7 days history), current (real-time conditions), and forecast (up to 7 days ahead). For example, you can create a trigger to fire if it has rained in the last week, or if it is forecast to be warm over the next 2 days, or if it is currently sunny.

What are the probability based weather elements?

The probability based weather elements are measured based on the chance (sometimes also known as 'risk') of the condition occurring. Therefor, by their very nature, probability-based conditions are always looking ahead (forecast). You can select how far out into the forecast you would like WeatherAds to check - from 3 hours to 7 days ahead. The probability-based weather elements include:

  • Thunder/ Lightning

  • Storm

  • Hail

  • Fog

  • Hurricane

  • Tornado

  • Ice forming (frost)

  • Freezing rain
